New Delhi: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s much-anticipated India debut was a mixed bag of disappointments. The 15-year-old became the youngest cricketer to play for India in international cricket, and finished with a not-to-be-missed record in the second T20I against England at Old Trafford in Manchester on Saturday.The left-handed batsman became the first Indian to be dismissed after tripping in his T20I match.

The fear started young

Sooryavanshi seemed unfazed by the incident. He scored 14 runs off just 10 balls, hitting two sixes in a thrilling innings.The youngster proved himself in the game by hitting England fast bowler Jofra Archer for a six over the wicketkeeper’s head. He followed up with another clean hit on Josh Tongue’s ropes.The youngster’s impressive knock ended in the fifth over.Looking to continue his attacking style, Sooryavanshi stepped out against Will Jacks but was beaten by the flight of the ball.
