When fans and netizens shared on platforms like X and Instagram that they received mysterious lyrics with a CD ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’ inside scrap paper used for cushioning, Aaron Lewis was completely surprised.He later shared that the scrap paper, which many fans thought was from the ‘Opalite’ singer, was actually a part of his upcoming album, ‘Give Me Back My Country,’ which is set for a worldwide release on July 17. Taken on his X account, the singer posted a video of a fan unboxing their CD and revealing mysterious photos and lyrics on the packaging material.He shared the video with the caption, “Oh look, there’s my new album, that hasn’t even been released yet, shredded as packaging paper in Taylor Swift merch. Ain’t that some s****.” Portions of his lyric book and other printed material intended for his album were stuck with the packaging material.

Aaron Lewis opened up about the incident
While speaking to USA Today, Aaron opened up about how surprising the incident was, as his album has yet to be released. He shared that he first found out about the incident after he encountered fans of the singer who were unboxing videos, trying to decipher his lyrics and wondering if they were from Swift.He added, “I didn’t see any of that kind of stuff, and when it was brought up to me, I was just like, ‘What’s going on? This is just weird.’ That’s the cover of my new record that hasn’t been released yet. Unlike the old stuff that was just sitting around they decided to make the packaging material. This is my new record. I just don’t understand how something like that can happen.”He also made it clear that he doesn’t blame Swift or his team for the issue, as he himself doesn’t know what exactly happened. At the time of writing, no statements have been made from the ‘Blank Space’ singer’s side.
