People has confirmed in their latest reports that a pilot episode for the ‘Aquamarine’ reboot has been confirmed. In the official development of the series, one of the most famous alumni from the original film is set to join the project on screen and behind it. Emma Roberts, best known for her roles in ‘We’re The Millers’, ‘American Horror Story’, and ‘Scream Queens’, to name a few, stars as Claire Brown. He will also join the series as an executive producer.In addition, the director of the original film, Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum, will return for the reboot project, raising the expectations and excitement of fans. Susan Cartsonis will also join as an executive producer.

The plot of the film revolves around two best friends, who find a stranded mermaid and decide to help her experience life as a human, while trying to keep her away from her father, who is about to force her into an arranged marriage. The film is based on the works of children’s author Alice Hoffman.
