No. 03/2026 to recruit 660 E-1 level management trainees.Online applications close today and candidates need to submit the form through the official website coinindia.in.Coal India MT Recruitment 2026: Coal India Ltd, a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Coal, contributes nearly 75% of India’s coal production and has about 2.12 lakh employees. The recruitment drive aims to fill 660 positions across multiple engineering and professional disciplines through computer-based testing without the interview stage.Recruitment details and job vacancy detailsThese 660 vacancies are spread across the subject areas of Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Electronics and Communication, Geology, Industrial Engineering, Rajbhasha and Company Secretary. The largest number of absorbers was in the electrical field with 221 positions, followed by the civil field with 178 positions and the mechanical field with 145 positions. There are 43 posts in the system, including 38 for Electronics and Communication, 15 for Geology, 11 for Industrial Engineering, 05 for Rajbhasha and 04 for Company Secretary.Eligibility age limits and application feesApplicants must possess a bachelor’s degree or degree in the relevant discipline specified in the notification. The upper age limit is 30 years as on April 30, 2026, but this can be relaxed subject to regulations. The application fee for general, OBC and EWS candidates is Rs 1180 while it is exempted for SC, ST, PwBD and CIL employees. The fee includes Rs 1000 plus GST Rs 180 and must be paid online.Selection Process and CBT ModelSelection will be based on computer test only, followed by document verification and medical examination. Paper-I includes General Knowledge, Reasoning, Mathematical Aptitude and English. Paper-II covers professional knowledge related to the respective disciplines. Each paper has 100 questions and 100 marks, has a duration of 3 hours, and has no negative marks. The exam will be conducted bilingually in English and Hindi and a qualifying score will be set.Salary and security deposit detailsSelected candidates will receive a salary range of 60,000 to 180,000 at the E-1 level with a down payment of 60,000. Allowances include dearness allowance, HRA, performance related pay, medical facilities and pension benefits (as per company regulations).
