Marriage speculation around Kriti Sanon has always made headlines, but her brother-in-law and singer Stebin Ben believes that the actor should not be forced to settle. In a recent interview, Stebin said that Kriti has earned the right to make that decision on her own terms and should get married only when she is fully ready.
“He deserves the freedom to decide”
Asked if discussions about Kriti’s marriage took place within the family, Stebin revealed that though people often raise the topic, he prefers to support her instead of joining the discussion.Speaking to Galatta India, Stebin said, “People are talking about it because after the younger sister got married, everyone started asking why the older one didn’t. He has done very well in his career. A girl who comes from a small town and builds a big identity for herself is a big achievement.”He added that marriage should only happen when the individual feels secure.“I think he should take his own time and freedom. If Kriti feels that she has found the right person and believes that it is the right time for marriage, she will take that decision. There is no need to rush.”Stebin added that there should be no age limit attached to marriage.“Whether a person gets married at 20, 30, 35 or even 40, it doesn’t matter. You should only get married when you are sure. Why rush something so important?”Kriti is rumored to be dating London-based businessman Kabir Bahia since mid-2024. While none of them have officially confirmed the relationship, they are often spotted together on vacations, family gatherings and public events, including Nupur Sanon’s wedding reception. Recently, breakup rumors surfaced after Kabir was spotted with another woman. However, Kriti appeared to put the speculation to rest by sharing a cozy picture with him on Instagram, revving up the buzz about their relationship.
‘I relate to Kriti’s journey’
Apart from his personal life, Stebin also spoke warmly about Kriti’s professional journey, saying that he sees similarities in their careers.“When I look at Kriti, I relate so much to my own journey. He entered the industry, worked hard, maintained himself and gained his fame through his own efforts.He also praised the fact that despite becoming one of the top stars in Bollywood, he remains grounded.“Now she’s become a big star, but she’s still connected to her parents and remains strong. Everything about her is the best.”
“There is no limit to him”
Stebin believes that Kriti’s best years are still ahead.“I think his future is very bright. He has so many films lined up, and I feel there are no limits for him.”He concluded by praising his growth as an actor.“Over the years, he’s become a better actor, and people can see that. His fandom is growing, people are giving him more love, and I’m sure he’s going to do wonders and make everyone proud. He’s already made everyone proud. I’m super proud of him.”
