Pakistani singer Mustafa Zahid has reacted after Amaal Mallik recreated Awarapan’s ‘To Phir Aao’ as the title track of the sequel Awarapan 2, calling it his career-best. Mustapha responded warmly, saying “borders are dangerous but so is love.” The Emraan Hashmi-starrer, which also features Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi, released on August 14.

‘Awarapan’, released in 2007, achieved cult status soon after its release, and its music played an important part in that appeal. Emraan Hashmi returns to reprise his role as Shivam, the golden-hearted hitman, with Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi joining the cast alongside Suvinder Vicky, Vijayant Kholi, and Atul Kumar. Directed by Nitin Kakkar, written by Bilal Siddiqui and produced by Vishesh Bhatt, the film is set to hit theaters on August 14.
