‘Ramayana’ trailer to drop in July?
The makers of ‘Ramayana’ are reportedly planning an international launch for the film’s elaborate promotional campaign, with several reports suggesting that the first official trailer will be unveiled at a grand event in Los Angeles on July 14.The launch event will reportedly serve as the first major showcase for the mythological epic and is expected to be attended by leading stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, along with other cast and crew members. The trailer is reportedly set to debut almost three months before the film hits the big screens on Diwali.If the buzz is true then the trailer will come after the makers dropped ‘Rama First Glimpse’ earlier this year. It was earlier reported that the makers intend to launch such ‘First Glimpse’ clips to introduce the global audience to the characters epic arrival for the festive season of Diwali.
‘Ramayana’ at Comic Con?
While the team has not officially confirmed the event, the reports come amid growing speculation that ‘Ramayana’ may also debut footage at the 2026 San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), which is scheduled to be held this month. According to an earlier report in Mid-day, producer Malhotra and director Tiwari are in advanced discussions to premiere the first full trailer of ‘Ramayana. Part 1’ during the festival, which also became the stage for international titles such as ‘Avengers’, ‘Spider-Man’, ‘Lord of the Rings’ and others. This year’s SDCC is scheduled to take place from July 23 to July 26, with Preview Night on July 22.Meanwhile, Malhotra has been hosting special screenings of exclusive film footage for Indian content makers for the past few weeks. This footage reportedly gives them glimpses of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.The two-part epic is being mounted on a grand scale and is slated for a worldwide theatrical release starting with ‘Ramayana. Part 1’ of Diwali 2026 and ‘Ramayana. Part 2’ of Diwali 2027.
