The visitors made three changes to their playing XI, with the West Indies welcoming back batsman and wicketkeeper Shai Hope, who returned after missing the opening game due to injury.
Shai Hope returns; Roach misses
Hope replaces Joshua de Silva and will also take over the wicket-keeping duties.
However, West Indies have suffered a setback with veteran fast bowler Kemar Roach sidelined with a hamstring strain. Roach reached the milestone of 300 Test wickets in the first Test.
Fast forward Anderson Phillip comes into the side instead.
West Indies will enter the match brimming with confidence after registering a massive and 217-run victory in the opening match, their first win in eight matches in the World Test Championship.
Captain Roston Chase said he was happy to bat first and hoped his team would repeat what they had done since the first Test. He also heard that the asphalt, which contains grass, can provide support for fast runners in the early stages of the game.
Sri Lanka make three changes
Sri Lanka have also changed their playing XI.
Lahiru Udara comes in for opener Pathum Nissanka, while left-arm pacer Prabath Jayasuriya comes in due to injury to pacer Lahiru Kumara.
The visitors have brought back Kasun Rajitha in place of Isitha Wijesundara.
