Ever since the second episode dropped on YouTube and Netflix, Samay Raina’s ‘India’s Got Latent’ Season 2 has created a buzz. One contestant who stood out was Kapil Dinkar, a constable of the Uttar Pradesh Police, who took to the stage armed not only with his uniform but also with sharp humor, musical prowess, and unwavering confidence.
Kapil Dinkar’s funny entry got Samay excited
The moment Kapil took the stage, he laughed, “Phir se shuru kar diya ye? Pichli baar chain nahi pada band karwa ke?” (You started it again? Didn’t you get enough peace of mind after closing it last time?)His comment immediately broke Samay. Out of curiosity, the comedian asked if he was just dressed as a policeman for show or really part of the force. Kapil confirmed that he is, in fact, a serving UP Police constable and joined the show to sing a song.

Music remains Kapil Dinkar’s true love
Although policing is his profession, music remains his true passion. “Main department ka iklauta banda hoon jisko music karne ki permission hai,” Kapil said during his appearance, leaving the panel visibly impressed.
Kapil Dinkar is also a published author
Beyond his police work and love of music, Kapil is also a published author. He shared on the show that he has three books to his name and is currently working on eight. During the conversation with Samay and the panel, he also touched on the Mission Shakti Kendra initiative, praising it as an effective program. When Samay asked if he felt fear of crime in Uttar Pradesh, Kapil replied with confidence, “Nahi, humein bahut achhi freedom di hui hai aur us par hum log bahut achha kaam bhi kar rahe hain.(No, we were given a lot of freedom, and we did it very well.)

Kapil’s segment is filled with light-hearted humor and fun banter. Haarsh Limbachiyaa joked, “Agar hum jurm karein to aap hi aana pakadne.” Kapil immediately replied, “Aap jurm karoge hi kyun?” He also took a playful jab at BeerBiceps aka Ranveer Allahbadia, who sang a line about how the controversy from Season 1 meant he wasn’t seen in Season 2. At the end of the segment, Samay said, “Thank you very much ki Indian Police se hamare show mein koi aaya. Isse hamare show ki credibility aur badh gayi.” (Many thanks to someone from Indian Police who came to our show. It added credibility to our show.)
