Renault India has just launched the 2026 Renault hatchback in the Indian market. The new Kwid gets a revised range of variants, exterior and interior design updates, added features and more. Interested customers can book the car online or by visiting their nearest dealership. Shipments will begin soon. The updated hatchback is now offered in two variants – Evolution and Climber – with manual and AMT transmission choices. The 2026 Kwid gets a handful of styling updates, including a new 3D Renault logo, redesigned two-tone covers for the 14-inch steel wheels, and a silver-finished Kwid badge with a revised font on the tailgate. Apart from these changes, the exterior of the hatchback remains unchanged, retaining the eyebrow-style LED DRLs, halogen headlights, front and rear bumpers, and halogen headlamps. Its dimensions are also unchanged.The 2026 Renault Kwid continues to be powered by the same 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 69 hp and 92.5 Nm. Climber Rs 5.14 lakh (MT)Rs 5.60 lakh (AMT)(Both prices ex-showroom)Next comes the Climber, which gets features like a dual-tone wheel cover, dual-tone body insert, chrome interior elements, electric adjustment for ORVMs, all four electric windows, steering wheel mounted controls, USB fast charger, fake skid plates front and rear, Climber branding on C-pillars, door trims, day/night camera, IRVM airbag and more. Talking about the powertrain, the 2026 Renault Kwid continues to be powered by the same 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 69hp and 92.5Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT.Renault also offers a CNG retrofit kit for manual variants at an additional cost of Rs 70,450. The kit will be installed at authorized Renault workshops and is covered by a standard warranty of three years or 1 lakh km, whichever comes first.
