The Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP) has extended the second phase admission schedule for first-year intermediate courses for the 2026-27 session till July 31, 2026, to provide more time to eligible students to secure admission to junior colleges across the state.The deferral is a relief for students who have not yet completed the admissions process. The board has asked all eligible candidates to complete their admissions before the revised deadline, visit their preferred junior college and submit necessary documents.
Announcement of revised admissions deadlines
According to the latest extension regulations, students who have not yet registered for first-year intermediate courses can complete the admission procedures before July 31, 2026. This will help more qualified students enter junior colleges to participate in the new semester.BIEAP also directed junior colleges to complete admissions strictly in compliance with the guidelines issued by the board and follow the prescribed reservation policy while filling available seats.
One-third of the seats are reserved for female students
The board reiterated its admission policy and said that 33 per cent seats will be reserved for female students during the admission process.This reservation was introduced to improve girls’ access to secondary education and expand their access to higher secondary education in Andhra Pradesh. Universities have been instructed to implement a reservation policy for admissions during the extended admissions window.
Students are recommended to complete enrollment before July 31st
Candidates who have not yet been admitted are advised to immediately go to their preferred junior college and complete all admission procedures before the revised deadline.Students must ensure that all required documents are submitted within the stipulated time to avoid missing out on admission.
