It has been confirmed that the film is set to be released online on OTT platforms for everyone to watch. It will specifically be available on Prime Video on July 22 this month. The film was previously released in theaters worldwide on June 5. The official announcement of the release was shared online, where the official Instagram page of the film posted about it. They shared a video from the show with “Listen! Watch Masters of the Universe – July 22 on Prime Video,” written in the caption.

Based on the popular He-Man toy line, Nicholas Galitzine stars in the lead role as He-Man, a boy who has just discovered his powers. When he accepts his fate, he must do everything in his power to save the kingdom of a royal planet along with all the kingdoms. The official synopsis reads: “A young man on Earth discovers a strange hidden legacy as the prince of an alien planet and must recover a magical sword and return home to protect his kingdom.” Along with Galitzine, Jared Leto also stars in the film as one of the main antagonists, the famous Skeletor, who is determined to take over all the kingdoms.Other cast members include Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress. Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, James Purefoy as King Randor, Idris Elba as Man-at-Arms, and Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena. The franchise returned to the big screen after almost 39 years, the last film, starring Dolph Lundgren, was released in 1987. According to reports from Box Office Mojo, the film earned USD 114 million at the box office against a total production cost of USD 170 million to 200 million.
