Commenting on the audience response to Ahmed Khan’s ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, Tusshar described the reception as overwhelming and rewarding.Speaking to Mid-day, he said, “It’s overwhelming but very exciting. People love the characters, and they will watch them again and again. It spread like wildfire.”Thinking of sharing screen space with a large cast of 34 actors, Tusshar says the experience feels more like a reunion than work.The actor, who has been part of blockbuster ensemble franchises including ‘Golmaal’, ‘Dhamaal’ and ‘Welcome’, admits that working with so many stars naturally comes with expectations.“You’re not afraid of being covered. But you have anxiety about standing out. You want to be noticed and get what you deserve,” he told the publication.

Looking back on his silver jubilee in the film industry, Tusshar describes his career as a journey full of valuable lessons. Kapoor admits that he misses the way films were experienced in the early years of his career.During the same interview, Kapoor said, “What I miss about that time is that you live the whole process of releasing a film. Whether it is a success or a failure, you need to experience the journey and see it the right way. “The actor also revealed that watching his father Jeetendra navigate success and failures prepared him for the unpredictable nature of the film business, “I’ve seen my father’s journey go up and down and up and down. So I don’t get carried away by success, and I don’t get sad when there’s a break because I know that’s part of this profession,” adding that he “remains a “profession” overthinker,” he learned to stay strong.“There is baggage”. There is a lot of unsolicited advice that comes your way – that because you come from a film family, you have to be a certain way.”Calling himself an introvert, Tusshar explains that he never fits the stereotypical image associated with a star son.“I’m very unlike what one would expect a star son to be like. I just focus on work. What I do in my personal life, what I am in my personal life, should not be anyone’s business. It’s difficult, but I have to block the noise. Over the years, I know that,” he said.Recalling some of the unusual advice he received early in his career, Tusshar revealed that he was always encouraged to maintain a public image beyond his acting work.Said Kapoor, “I was told, ‘You have to be an actor if you don’t act too.’ But I couldn’t handle it. I used to ignore it and just focus on my work.”He also points out that the conversation of insiders versus outsiders often ignores the pressures actors face from film families.“They say that outsiders are pressured too much. But even as an insider, I was told that you have to be a certain way, go to parties, go to the news. So this pressure is for us too,” he added.
Tusshar Kapoor is grateful for the ‘Golmaal’ franchise
The actor is also eyeing the Golmaal franchise, which he once described as the “lifeline” of his career. Tusshar credits director Rohit Shetty for trusting him and allowing him to portray his unique character in the films. He also expressed excitement about returning for the upcoming fifth installment of the comedy franchise and reuniting with the team.
