Actor and dancer Raghav Juyal revealed that: Salman Khan: personally called him after watching the trailer of his upcoming film ‘Bhai Tera Star Hai’. According to Raghav, the superstar appreciated the comic tone of the film and felt that its humor brought something new which was missing from the recent releases.Speaking to IANS, the ‘Kill’ actor recalled that Salman was particularly amused by one of the meta jokes in the trailer and did not hesitate to share his gratitude over the phone.
Salman Khan praised the film’s comic approach
Sharing details of the conversation, Raghav said that Salman was impressed with a joke surrounding the popular phrase involving “one’s brother” and “one’s life.”“Salman sir also called me after watching the trailer. Because I made a meta joke about ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’. So, he likes it a lot. He said, It’s lost somewhere. The fresh and young do not do this. You’ve done it. It’s a very good thing,” shared Raghav.
Bond that started with ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’
Raghav and Salman developed a close relationship while working together in ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’. The actor has often spoken of his admiration and respect for Salman, describing their relationship as continuing beyond the filming of the film.Releasing on April 21, 2023, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ features Raghav alongside Shehnaaz Gill and marks his first major collaboration with Salman Khan.
What is ‘Bhai Tera Star Hai’ about?
Opening up about his role in ‘Bhai Tera Star Hai’, Raghav said that he plays Ajay Singh, an aspiring actor with huge confidence but little talent.He explained, “I am happy with Ajay Singh’s character in ‘Bhai Tera Star Hai’ because he considers himself a very big, talented actor. He thinks he can be a big superstar, but in reality, he has done terrible acting. While trying to prove himself through his poor performances, he keeps getting into trouble. There is chaos throughout the film, and at the end he finds himself in a situation where he has to return the money to a powerful don.“
Inspired by Govinda’s comedy
Raghav also shared that the film is an attempt to revive the family-friendly comedy that audiences associate with Govinda’s films.“Through this comedy, I want to bring back the kind of humor we saw in Govinda’s films, something for my parents and for boys and girls from small cities. A film where people can laugh freely, laugh wholeheartedly, and enjoy themselves without restraint,” he said.
