The cast of ‘Spider-Man. Brand New Day’ is on a press tour promoting the film. During one of the scheduled interviews, the lead actor, Tom Hollandended up teasing some new themes about the film. From introducing new villains to darker themes, ‘Odyssey’ has been candid about what fans can expect from the July 31 release.
Tom Holland teases ‘Spider-Man. New Day’
While featuring on the ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast, the cast of the latest ‘Spider-Man’ movie revealed all about what fans can expect from the upcoming movie. Holland called the upcoming film “one of the darkest chapters” in Peter Parker’s life, and even talked about how his character chose to live alone. He also commented that, “A lesson he learned from Andrew’s character in the previous movie is sometimes the bravest thing you can do is ask for help, and I think he actively ignored that advice. And it had a profound effect on his life as a person.”However, his superhero is completely different and “prosperous.” The actor commented that fans will see the most authentic version of Spider-Man in the upcoming film. Many details were taken into account, including the Spider-Man costume, which was recreated to pay homage to Tobey Maguire’s original Spider-Man suit. He added,[Spider-Man] progressing. We may be seeing the truest version of what Spider-Man means to New York City. The crushing of the two worlds is a fun thing to play.”
About ‘Spider-Man. New Day’
The upcoming film will be set a few years after the events of ‘Spider-Man. No Way Home’, after Peter Parker made everyone forget two years through Doctor Strange’s spell. Spider-Man returns to save New York City; but, this time around he doesn’t have anyone. Although he continues to care for his friends who are enjoying their college life, things start to change for him. The film features Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo reprising their MCU roles.Sadie Sink, who is best known for her work in ‘The Whale’ and ‘Stranger Things’ is also set to star in the film; however, the nature of his character on the big screen is kept under wraps. Yelena Belova, played by Florence Pugh, is also rumored to make a cameo in the latest Spider-Man film; however, nothing has been confirmed. Tramell Tillman, Marvin Jones III, Eman Esfandi, and Liza Colón-Zayas also join the cast as new characters.
