UGNEET 2026: KEA extends fresh application deadline to July 30 for NEET eligible candidates

Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has extended the deadline for submission of fresh UGNEET-2026 applications to July 30, 2026. This extension is applicable to candidates who have appeared for NEET, are eligible for admission to medical courses and have not yet applied for UGNEET through the KEA portal.KEA Executive Director H. Prasanna IAS informed the candidates that the original deadline of July 24, 2026 has been extended as per the requests of applicants and parents. The authority also clarified that KEA is yet to receive the NEET result information. Candidates are not required to submit their NEET roll number details until the information is available.New registration facility for medical admissionsKEA had earlier opened fresh applications for candidates seeking admission to medical, dental and AYUSH courses in Karnataka for the academic year 2026-27. Candidates who missed the UGCET-2026 registration can apply through the UGNEET-2026 new registration link on the KEA website.Applicants must complete registration, submit an online application and pay applicable fees to participate in the admissions process. Candidates who have already registered for CET-2026 do not need to resubmit their application. KEA will provide a separate link through which existing applicants can add their NEET roll number to their CET application.NEET roll number link and document verificationKEA said that the facility to link NEET roll numbers will be provided after receiving the required NEET result data. Once a candidate registers the NEET roll number, the document verification process will begin as per the schedule released by the authority.The eligibility criteria, minimum qualifying marks and category requirements will be as per the norms prescribed by the competent authority after the UGNEET-2026 re-examination results are announced.KEA advises candidates to read the UGNEET-2026 Information Bulletin carefully before applying. The announcement contains details on eligibility criteria, seat categories and requirements to apply for different types of seats.Instructions for Non-Karnataka and Special Category CandidatesNon-Karnataka candidates need to register on the KEA portal, provide personal details, pay the registration fee, enter class 12 mark information and upload their mark card in PDF format through the Marks Entry portal.OCI, PIO, NRI and foreign candidates, as well as eligible non-Karnataka applicants seeking seats in NRI constituencies, religious minorities or designated St. John’s Medical College, must book seats at KEA, Bengaluru on the notified date and attend document verification.All UGNEET-2026 counseling rounds (including sporadic vacancy rounds) will be conducted online by KEA as per the guidelines of the National Medical Council and AYUSH Department.
