Instead of hosting a lavish celebrity affair, the couple opted for a private ceremony attended only by their children, close family members and a few friends. While their small celebration won hearts, it is now Gauri’s beautiful wedding ring that is the talk of the town.The centerpiece of Aamir’s wedding gift to Gauri was a custom-made ring. It features an exceptionally rare cabochon-cut natural ruby from Madagascar, set in a golden coronet-inspired mount adorned with 40 natural diamonds. According to reports, the search for the perfect ruby took nearly three months because less than 0.1 percent of rubies are believed to meet this rare quality standard. The ring itself reportedly required over 256 hours of painstaking work and was made by 131 pairs of skilled hands.This is not the first custom piece of jewelery that Aamir has given Gauri. Earlier this year, she was spotted wearing another one-of-a-kind ring featuring a rare Brazilian aquamarine surrounded by 40 natural diamonds, which were also specially commissioned by the actor.Aamir and Gauri’s wedding was noted for its less glamorous and more personal touch. Staying true to his preference for simplicity, the actor skipped a big celebration in favor of an intimate ceremony shared only with his loved ones.Adding an emotional family element to the occasion, Aamir’s son Azad Rao Khan and Gauri’s son Quinn played the role of ring bearers, making the ceremony even more memorable.For the wedding, Gauri Spratt chose a custom creation by: Sabyasachi Mukherjee which exudes effortless elegance. Moving away from the traditional bridal palette, she wore a muted lehenga embellished with intricate white floral embroidery, paired with a sheer dupatta and layered polki jewelery accented with emerald accents.Her gorgeous look complements the outfit perfectly. Her makeup artist shared a video revealing that Gauri opted for a “second skin” approach to her makeup, while her hair was styled in a relaxed side-swept bohemian fishtail braid decorated with delicate white flowers, completing her minimal yet sophisticated bridal look.
