While talking to The Hollywood Reporter India, the actor shared how life-changing the film ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ was for him.Along with Farhan Akhtar he shared that the film explores many new concepts in film making, which also includes voice acting. Experiencing it for the first time, it was a life-changing moment for him. According to the ‘Hawiwaan’ actor, “We were so used to dubbing. He: [Akhtar] made me hear how Nakul Kamte: [sound designer] Treats sound and how it travels through headphones. It was an amazing experience.”In addition, he also revealed a part of the film that he found particularly interesting, which was when, during the shooting, there was a pin-drop silence in the studio. “There was a lot of silence the first time because of the incredible lockdown,” he said. “Some of our movie sets have such a crowded environment that pin-drop silence becomes rare. The actor also shared that 25 years ago, there was a naivete about him film industry that he has missed a lot. “There is a new attitude to everything. To filmmaking and to life”, the actor added.About ‘Omkara’, Khan shares, “There is a very creative atmosphere on the sets of Omkara. Vishal [Bhardwaj] It’s great and getting a chance to speak a new language in a new way and dress up as someone completely different is liberating and exciting.” Inspired from Shakespeare’s ‘Othello’, the film stars Saif Ali Khan as the main antagonist, Ishwar ‘Langda’ Tyagi.The star said that ‘Omkar’ gave him an opportunity to explore new sides of him which was a new and scary experience which he absolutely loved at the time. Looking back on his time on the set he added, “I got to create things that we would never have in the other cheesy rom-com type movies that we do.”In particular, there is the mirror-facing monologue given by his character in the film. While talking about the same, she revealed that director Vishal, at that time, asked her if she could do the scene without clothes. Recalling the memory, she laughed and added, “I remember Vishal ji asking, ‘Can you do this naked?'” prompting him to respond at the time by saying, “‘Listen, if you order me naked, I will do it!'”

During his interview, the actor also revealed to one of your listeners one of the most important aspects of surviving in the industry. He shared that the people you make movies with must like you for you to survive in the film industry. The actor added, “You can only survive if the audience likes you. That’s it. I don’t know about great acting and stuff; there has to be a good vibe that you give them that they don’t mind watching you again, even after a bad movie. And that’s really all you need.” He also shared in another part of the interview that, “People are more excited or interested to see something that’s, you know, kind of passionately made and kind of different and part of something out there.”While talking about cinema and the kind of projects he wants to do now, he stated that he saw time in cinema before Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’, and after it, further adding, “So it’s up to us whether to reach or not and wake up or not.”Furthermore, he added that one of the main aspects he wanted more work to be put into was the music, further praising ‘Dhurandhar’ for his more creative choices. He also added, “It seems like an obvious idea to make unique music instead of making a new album for each film, to kind of draw all kinds of things from around the world, not too afraid of English as an alienator.”Saif Ali Khan will next be seen in his new film, ‘Haiwaan’, which is slated to release on September 11.
