As fans shared their condolences and support during this difficult time, the artist wrote a heartfelt note for “the greatest person I’ve ever known.Saying goodbye to his beloved parents, he assured the concertgoers that he would continue the shows after the mourning period, saying that his father wanted him.

Zach John King expressed his heartbroken feelings on his social media handle on July 14, 2026. “Friday my father suddenly went home to Jesus. He was the rock of our family. My best friend. The greatest man I will ever know,” the ‘Just Missed You’ singer wrote, before adding, “John King was the kind of husband, father, grandfather, friend, and follower of Jesus for life. Those who knew him knew that his eyes were never on this weary world. It used to frustrate me how happy he was even in the worst moments of life. “Revealing the unexpected passing, King said his father left in the blink of an eye. “We want 25 more years with him, and that pain will be with me for the rest of my life,” he wrote. Also, the ‘Wannebe Cowboy’ singer canceled the shows after the tragedy to mourn with his family. “After that, I’ll do what my father wants me to do and get back to work,” he wrote. Ending on a heartfelt note, King wrote a quote his father said the day he died. “Today is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it,” he said, adding, “I love you, father. See you soon.”
