In a recent episode of Hey Jonas, Nick: The actress opened up about proposing on July 19, 2018, just two months into their relationship. The couple jetted off to Greece to celebrate Priyanka:It’s Nick’s birthday, which falls on July 18, and Nick plans to pop the question at midnight the next day. However, a delayed flight throws his well-planned surprise off track, leaving him worried that things won’t go as planned. Priyanka, for her part, recalls being confused by Nick’s nervousness throughout the trip, having no idea that a proposal was on the horizon.

Nick shares the anxious moments leading up to his proposal to Priyanka, revealing how unexpected delays almost derailed his carefully laid plan. “When we got married, I had a plan to do it at midnight after her birthday. Our flight was delayed, which set us back 3-4 hours,” Nick said, explaining that he was always calculating the timing in his head while Priyanka remained oblivious. “Now I was doing the timing in my head, and she was like ‘What are you stressing about?'” Nick recalled.
Nick Jonas kept Priyanka in the dark
Priyanka admitted that she had no idea what was in store. “I didn’t know about it. I thought we were just going on vacation,” he said. Nick shared that they eventually arrived in Greece behind schedule, spending dinner nervously keeping track of time. “I’m looking at the clock the whole time. And I’m like it’s going to be a disaster. We’re not getting it right,” he shared. Priyanka, on her end, sensed something was wrong but put it down to Nick’s personality. “I wonder why he’s worried about this holiday? Is this the kind of person he is?” he joked.
Nick Jonas finally popped the question
At around 2:30 am, just as Priyanka said she was heading to bed, Nick told her that he had one more gift for her. He walked back to get the ring, then got down on one knee to propose. Nick remembers that Priyanka’s yes didn’t come right away, he spent nearly a minute staring at her while she nervously waited with the ring. “I said I have one more gift for you. I went back to the room, took out the ring and proposed. But he did not agree immediately. It takes him like 40-50 seconds. He was staring at me. I got down on one knee like, ‘Should I put the ring on?'” he recalled. However, Priyanka clarified that she had already put the ring on before giving her answer.

Later, Priyanka and Nick got married in December 2018 at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, and became parents to their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, in 2022.
