The film, which is now in its fourth week in theaters, saw a sharp drop in collections on Friday, but fortunately, it got a business over the weekend. It coincides with the release of Christopher Nolan’s much-anticipated epic ‘The Odyssey’, which has emerged as the new favorite among Indian moviegoers.
The total collection of ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ so far
According to Sacnilk, ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ has collected around Rs 38 lakh nett on its 23rd day, playing around 719 screens across the country. With this addition, the film’s total net collection in India has reached an estimated Rs 132.43 crore, while its gross earnings are close to Rs 157.34 crore.

The film opened on a strong note, earning close to Rs 93 crore in the first week alone. But that early momentum waned in the weeks that followed. According to the report, the collections in the second week took a big hit, falling to around Rs 31.90 crore, while the third week saw the earnings fall by a single figure of Rs 6.80 crore. Now heading into the fourth weekend with a paltry Rs 38 lakh.
‘Welcome To The Jungle’ faces competition from ‘The: Odyssey: ‘
The film’s box-office slowdown appears to be tied to the release of Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’, which hit Indian screens in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The Hollywood epic opened strongly, earning an estimated gross of Rs 20.76 crore and nearly Rs 17.40 crore nett on the first day. High occupancy in IMAX and other premium formats helped the film dominate multiplexes and premium screens, attracting people who might have preferred homegrown films.
