Actress: Aishwarya Lekshmi opened up about his academic journey. In a recent interview he revealed that despite completing his MBBS degree, he has not yet had the opportunity to work as a doctor. The actress said in a recent interview that she spent years gaining her medical qualification but eventually pursued a completely different profession.Speaking during a promotional interview with Ginger Media for ‘Gatta Kusthi 2’, Aishwarya opened up about how life unexpectedly took her to cinema instead of medicine.

Acting was never part of Aishwarya Lekshmi’s plan

During the interaction, Aishwarya talked about her transition from medicine to films. While he admits that he fell in love with the medical profession, he describes his acting career as something unexpected.She said, “I’m a doctor. I finished my MBBS degree. But after that, I never got a chance to treat people. I worked hard to pass my exams. I really wanted to be a doctor. But unexpectedly I became an actress. I believe it was God’s plan. It’s not easy to be a doctor; it takes at least eight years.”

Before making her mark in films, Aishwarya Lekshmi worked as a successful model. She entered Malayalam cinema in 2017 with Nivin Pauly’s ‘Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela’.It was Aashiq Abu’s ‘Mayaanadhi’ that changed his career. His performance as Appu received widespread praise from the audience and critics.

‘Gatta Kusthi 2’ has opened to a decent start

Meanwhile, Aishwarya’s latest release, ‘Gatta Kusthi 2’, has made a good start at the domestic box office. According to Sacnilk, the film earned an estimated Rs 2.55 crore India nett on its opening day.The sequel also recorded an estimated Rs 2.93 crore India gross. The film registered a total occupancy of 26% in 2,109 theaters on Day 1.Directed by Chella Ayyavu, ‘Gatta Kusthi 2’ reunites Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi after the success of the original film.
