Prince Harry is reportedly angry with King Charles III and his staff for leaking information about his family’s upcoming visit to the United Kingdom, a development he believes has compromised his family’s security. According to the Daily Mail, the Duke of Sussex expressed disappointment at how details about the planned trip were made public, creating potential vulnerabilities for his wife Meghan Markle and their two children.According to the report, the 41-year-old became angry after it was reported that Harry, Meghan Markle and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, were offered royal accommodation during their stay. According to the publication: “Harry is angry that the King’s aides have leaked plans for the Sussex family to stay at Buckingham Palace for part of the visit.”
Security concerns fueled Prince Harry’s frustration
The report cites an insider explaining the specific nature of Harry’s concerns about the leaked information. “He felt that he was endangering his family because while they were protected by the security cordon when they were inside the palace they were vulnerable when they left it” the report said highlighting the practical implications of revealing public details of the accommodation.
Mistrust and alleged ‘theatrics’ create more tension
Despite reportedly wanting to reconcile with his father, Harry is skeptical of the royal household’s intentions and approach to the visit. According to the report, there is a fundamental disconnect between what Harry is trying to accomplish and how the palace is handling the situation. “Harry really wants his children to see their grandfather. It’s unclear how excited the King will be to see them if it involves all the theatrics,” the report said. The report further expressed concern that the situation has deteriorated rather than improved since the first plans were announced. “Unfortunately, what should have been a chance to build bridges has led to more mistrust on both sides” they added suggesting that communication failures have undermined the reconciliation effort.

Prince Harry’s security requests have been denied
Further complicating matters was Harry’s request for police protection for his family during the visit. A representative for Harry gave a statement to a major publication outlining his view of the obstacles facing the visit.“The Duke continues to explore every available option so that the visit can continue safely and give his children the chance to enjoy the UK,” the spokesman said. The representative emphasized that accommodation was not the central issue. “The issue was never accommodated. The issue is whether appropriate and proportionate security protection is provided throughout the visit. The independent Risk Management Board that RAVEC itself decided was necessary in November has still not happened. It is therefore difficult to understand how the proportionality of the current arrangements can be reliably maintained without that independent assessment,” the spokesperson explained.
The king’s comment suggested the visit was turning out to be a controversial affair
Royal observers assessed the worsening situation around the planned visit. Royal commentator Rebecca English offers a critical perspective on how family reunions are handled. “For the sake of family harmony, the Palace is perfectly happy with a peaceful and short visit,” he told the outlet.English concludes with a pointed observation about the public nature of the dispute. “However, once again, they’re turning it into a soap opera,” he said, suggesting the situation has become unnecessarily complicated and publicized rather than resolved privately. The conflicting accounts from both sides highlight ongoing tensions within the royal family over Harry and Meghan’s relationship with the monarchy and questions about security arrangements, accommodation, and the basic willingness of both parties to continue reconciliation efforts.
