As the countdown begins until July 24 when the official trailer debuts online, fans are busy making the film’s concept art an impressive first look.After the grand event in New Delhi on Saturday, the makers unveiled a special comic book that offers an in-depth look at the world inspired by the mythology of the film. The illustrated book features detailed concept art for key characters, kingdoms and locations, giving fans a closer look at the ambitious adaptation. Soon after images from the comic surfaced online, social media users began transforming the illustrations into real-life depictions using AI image-generation tools.Among the most widely shared recreations is that of Sai Pallavi’s Sita, whose comic looks are transformed into regal live-action-style portraits complete with elaborate jewelry and traditional attire. While one saw her wearing a red saree and adorned with gold, the other saw her in a saffron saree with blades in her hands.Fans have also done Yash’s Ravana, which portrays the demon king as a mighty warrior pierced by arrows and in his elaborate royal armour. These images, in turn, serve as the first look of the characters, especially after the makers only showed glimpses of them in the ‘First Look at Rama’ clip.Other AI-generated images include Kunal Kapoor’s Lord Indra in silver armor with Airavata, and Faisal Malik’s Kumbhakarna.The comic, unveiled during the film’s promotional event also offers readers a detailed introduction to the kingdoms of Ayodhya, Mithila and Lanka, while also revealing character illustrations accompanied by brief biographies and mythological backgrounds.Among the characters featured are: Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, Adinath Kothare as Bharat, Nitish Sharma as Shatrughan, Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra, Shobana as Kaikesi, Chetan Hansraj as Sumali, Anupam Kher as Jatayu, Kajal Aggarwal as Queen Mandodari, Faisal Malik as Kumbhakarna, Agastya Munkhawari as Singh.The book also features artwork of the Hindu trinity—Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva—with detailed illustrations of majestic holy cities, majestic architecture, royal courts and impressive cityscapes.While these images are not official material, fans can expect to see something similar when the first trailer is released online later this week after the film’s grand debut at San Diego Comic-Con. Director Nitesh Tiwari, along with Ranbir, Yash and producer Naimt Malhotra, are expected to attend the grand event in the USA, after which the trailer will be released online.The makers have two trailers ready for their release. The CBFC has given both – the 4-minute clip and 4.15-minute clip – a ‘U’ certification.
