Meghan Markle offered followers a window into her family’s European trip through an Instagram carousel posted Thursday, July 23, showing moments from their “summer holiday” across Portugal and the United Kingdom.The Duchess of Sussex, 44, shared pictures showing Prince Harry, 41, and their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, while they were traveling on the continent. The collection captures both tender family moments and poignant visits to Althorp, Princess Diana’s childhood home and final resting place.
A playful family getaway
The carousel opens with carefree scenes from the family’s time in Portugal’s Alentejo region, where the Sussexes vacationed before heading to Britain. Strolls on the beach and moments by the pool punctuate the sequence, including a particularly joyous shot of Harry tossing Lilibet into the air, with the camera capturing her mid-flight before she splashes into the water. Another snapshot shows Archie in the cockpit of a plane, the captain’s hat resting on his head as he reaches for the controls next to the pilots. The couple was also pictured laughing with each other during the meal.

Milestone meeting at Highgrove House
People reported that earlier this month, the family traveled to Highgrove House, the monarch’s private residence in Gloucestershire, to meet King Charles and Queen Camilla. The visit marked only the third meeting between Harry and his father since the King’s 2024 cancer diagnosis, and the first time the monarch has seen his grandchildren in more than four years. The reunion comes after weeks of uncertainty over security and accommodation arrangements, which have repeatedly delayed confirmation of Meghan and the children’s involvement.

A return to Princess Diana’s resting place
