Asian Games 2026 Cricket Schedule: India, Pakistan head to head - all matches revealed

The schedule of cricket events for the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, has been announced, with defending champions India entering the quarter-finals of the men’s and women’s T20 tournaments. Cricket will be played in T20 format and will have world record. The women’s competition will be held from September 17 to 22, while the men’s competition will be held from September 24 to October 1 at Korogi Athletic Park in Aichi Prefecture.India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have all entered the men’s quarter-finals based on their rankings. The remaining four quarters will be decided through the first round where the six teams are divided into two groups.Group A includes Afghanistan, Japan and Nepal, while Group B includes Hong Kong China, Malaysia and Oman. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals. Since India and Pakistan are evenly matched sides, the two players could meet if both reach the semi-finals or the final.India will face one of the teams that participated in the first round in the quarter-finals.

The Women’s team will start against Japan

The Indian women’s team will begin their title defense against hosts Japan in the quarterfinals. If India wins, they will face either Bangladesh or China in the semi-finals.The other quarterfinal matches pit Sri Lanka against Malaysia, while Pakistan face Thailand. India will be aiming to retain the gold medals it won in the men’s and women’s events at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games.
