When asked about the negative comments and online campaigns against the film, Vishnu Vishal chose to focus on a bigger issue than the controversy itself. “It’s difficult. I don’t want to say it in detail. People enjoyed the film. I’ve talked about the hate on social media before, and I’ll say it again. I don’t like all the hate on the internet. We must all stand united against this. I have taken that stand, and I will continue to do so,” he said, as reported by Nakkheeran.
