According to the report, the publication quoted a source as saying, “King started out as an action thriller, but SRK and Sid’s ambition has made it a tentpole action thriller, with some of the biggest action sequences audiences will witness on the scene.” The report further alleged that the inflated budget of the film did not include printing and other publicity and marketing costs, and stated that, “All the money spent to ensure an uncompromising cinematic experience to the audience.

‘King’ to mark SRK’s return to big screens

‘King’ will see SRK return to the big screen after a gap of three years. The film has reportedly gone on floors in May 2025 and is expected to wrap filming in August 2026 after extensive shooting schedules in India and several international locations.The action thriller also marks SRK’s first big-screen venture with his daughter Suhana Khan:who is rumored to play his on-screen daughter as well.

‘King’ goes up against ‘Dune 3’ and ‘Avengers. doomsday’

“King” is set to hit theaters on December 24, just in time for the Christmas break. The movie will hit the big screen, just a few days after the battle at the box office between Timothee Chalamet’s ‘Dune’. Part Three’ and ‘Avengers. Doomsday’ which are both set to release on December 18.
