Shah Rukh Khan became the sole owner of the residence in Delhi where he and his wife Gauri Khan: started their married life. The actor has acquired the second and third floors of the property in South Delhi’s upscale Panchsheel Park, in addition to the ground and first floors he already owns. The property holds deep emotional significance for the couple, as it was their first home after their marriage in 1991, before Shah Rukh moved to Mumbai to pursue acting full-time. The latest acquisition is worth around Rs 37 crore, giving Shah Rukh ownership of the entire building, according to a Moneycontrol report. Built on a 1,200-square-yard plot (about 10,800 square feet), the residence is located in one of the most prestigious neighborhoods of South Delhi. According to the report, the deal is worth approximately Rs 37 crore, with the underlying land valued at around Rs 34,260 per square foot.Shah Rukh Khan and: Gauri: Khan got married on October 25, 1991, through three ceremonies held on the same day—a registered civil marriage, a traditional Hindu wedding and a Nikah.Over the years, Gauri has fondly talked about the house and the memories associated with it. In an earlier interview with iDiva, she explained that she designed the house as a space to preserve the family’s journey together.“Our house in Delhi is almost 20 years old. As many of you know, I am from Delhi and have lived a large part of my life here, so I thought it would be a good idea to buy and design a house near my mom’s house. The idea was to have all our memories under one roof. It was done,” he said.Gauri also shared that every corner of the residence reminds her of different chapters of their family’s life together, making it more than just a home.
