Speaking to Mathrubhumi, Maniyanpilla Raju shared details about the progress of the project and the importance of having a strong screenplay for a superstar-led entertainer.He said, “With an actor of his stature, the screenplay had to be incredibly strong. We planned the film as a full-fledged commercial entertainer in the spirit of Chotta Mumbai. Niyog wrote the script, although he is currently busy with ‘Tiki Taka’. The screenplay process has started, the first draft is ready, and it is now being revised.

Before Maniyanpilla Raju’s confirmation, Krishand also spoke about the proposed film in an interview with The New Indian Express. At the time, the director revealed that the story was designed as a realistic detective comedy.According to Krishand, Mohanlal will headline the film, with another important character accompanying him throughout the narrative.
