The pair have now become the first players from the same country to score at least six goals in a single World Cup, setting a new competition mark. Bellingham’s latest heroics came after he struck twice in England’s Round of 16 tie against Mexico. He is now joint third in the league goalscoring team with Kane, trailing only Norway’s Erling Haaland on seven goals and the leaders.
