Raghu was 50 years old and Varijashree was 34 years old when they got married. Their 16-year age gap has become a talking point for many people online. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Raghu admitted that some comments hurt them. He said, “Honestly, we know people always have opinions, especially when you’re in the public eye. And honestly, it hurts.” Then he added, “But you know there’s a little trick to a good, happy life – don’t take the internet too seriously.“He said that love and support from family, friends and true fans is more important than online opinions.Raghu said marrying Varijashree felt completely natural as they had known each other for a long time before taking the next step. He said, “You know, love is a peculiar thing. It seeing beauty unseen…it just happens. We have been friends for a long time before we chose to get married. And when we did, it was very natural.“
