National Award-winning singer Anuradha Paudwal has been in the news for the controversy surrounding his recent comments on Ram Mandir and the ‘Vishwaguru’ narrative. Breaking his silence, the veteran singer said his comments were taken out of context and surprised, leading to a distorted interpretation of what he meant. The controversy stems from: Anuradha:Its recent appearance on journalist Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast, where he questioned the narrative of India’s ‘Vishwaguru’ while discussing issues related to education. He argued that the reported closure of thousands of schools raised concerns about the country’s readiness to become a global leader.The veteran singer took to Instagram and said his recent comments were taken out of context. Anuradha shared a letter expressing her respect for India and its leadership while asserting that every citizen has the right to express their opinions respectfully. “Masked by all my family friends and fans. I appreciate the love and respect you give me for my work. I also love and respect my country and its leadership. Every citizen including me understands that we must be educated to grow and lead in this world. I will always stand by that. We are all allowed to express our views respectfully in this country. “He further objected to the truncated versions of his conversation being circulated online, insisting that they did not show the full context.“But I am completely angry when a conversation is taken out of context and surprisingly gives a wrong tone. I do not endorse the videos and ask people not to encourage such creators. Please note that this is not an explanation but no one is allowed to use a conversation out of context for their convenience.”Reflecting on how his views have evolved over time, the singer said he no longer sees the situation the same way he did before. He added, “A few years ago, I also believed that India would become a Vishwaguru. But now I see many things happening that seem to be against that vision. This nonsense must be stopped.”Anuradha also spoke about the alleged Ram Mandir donation scam, saying that reports of such incidents in a place of great religious significance are worrying. He added that if India truly aspires to be a ‘Vishwaguru’, it must first uphold the ideals and principles associated with that ideal. The singer also reiterated his concerns about education, saying that many schools across the country have been closed.
