Chloe Fineman wrote a heartfelt note

With bittersweet sentiments, Chloe Fineman expressed her gratitude for being a part of the beloved show. “After 7 wonderful seasons on SNL I decided it was time for my next chapter. It’s cliche to say this but working on SNL has been the greatest privilege of my life. I still can’t believe I got to be a part of it. I fell in love with the place the second I walked in the door,” Fineman wrote in the caption of her post, before adding how she was surrounded by “the best people in the business. From working on visual effects (VFX) to sewing costumes at the 11th hour, Fineman recalls the time he created and wrote the sketches. “Sewing a jojo Siwa costume in 10 hours. Writing a cold open at 2 pm on a Saturday. Finishing the VFX on a video minutes before the dress (I don’t know if “finishing the VFX” is the correct technical term but you get the idea),” he shared.Fineman even wrote about the devastating feeling when the producers did not approve of his sketches. In hindsight, the artist now agrees with their decision, and admits that the action titled ‘Lipstick for thick dogs’ should have been vetoed. “You can’t stop if your sketch isn’t chosen. You storm into a producers office telling them they just made the biggest mistake of their lives. You call everyone you know to complain. And then you look back a few years later and it’s a sketch called ‘lipstick for fat dogs,'” he said, and continued, “But that’s just the show.”Concluding the note, Fineman shared, “Leaving SNL was really hard but it felt like the right time. I’m going to miss it a lot. But the people who work there are my family and that place is my home, and I know I’m never far away. And I swear to God, one day, someday, they’ll make lipstick for fat dogs.”
