The ‘God of War’ franchise live-action adaptation continues in full force. However, according to the latest reports, Ryan Hurst was injured while shooting some scenes of the upcoming show.
Ryan Hurst injured while filming for ‘God of War’
TMZ recently reported that Ryan Hurst, who will play the lead role of Kratos, injured himself on the sets of the ‘God of War’ live action series. According to reports, while he was filming one of the demanding stunts on the set of the show, the actor ended up tearing his bicep.After being examined, the report says that the actor will need surgery to treat the injury. Because of this, and Hurst being the lead actor in the upcoming show, production dates have been pushed back. The studio expects him to recover and return to the set in mid-August, however, due to the nature of the injury, the actor will need more time and effort to return to the set in optimal condition.While no comments have been shared about what will happen with the production in the meantime, it is reported that there are possibilities that the filming and the overall production of the show could be pushed until 2027. Filming continued in Vancouver until the incident.The actor has not yet issued a statement on the matter from his end.

The series follows Kratos, son of Zeus, and a Spartan demigod who is manipulated into killing his entire family. When he realizes the truth, he wreaks havoc on the entire Greek pantheon and fights some of the biggest and most powerful gods in the realm. The live-action will specifically follow Kratos and his son Atreus, who travel to spread the ashes of Faye (his wife) from the highest peak of the kingdoms.In addition to Hurst, several cast members have been announced, including Callum Vinson as Atreus, Teresa Palmer as SifMax Parker as Heimdall, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson as Thor, Mandy Patinkin as Odin, Ed Skrein as Baldur, Louis Cunningham as Modi, and Island Austin as Thrud.
