The real challenge, however, came in the second week, with Christopher Nolan’s anticipated epic ‘The Odyssey’, released worldwide on July 17, 2026, usurping premium formats such as IMAX and large format screens. Even though both the films catered to different audience segments, Nolan’s release raked in huge occupancy and premium show allocation for ‘Dhamaal 4’.
Dhamaal 4’s opening weekend and first-week trend
‘Dhamaal 4’ started at a solid Rs. 14 crore on Day 1, before rising over the weekend to Rs. 22.50 crore on Day 2 and a franchise-best Rs. 28.50 crore on Sunday (Day 3). Monday brought an expected decline of Rs. 8.75 crore, but the film held steady for the rest of the week, earning Rs. 9.50 crore on Day 5 and Rs. 6.75 crore on Day 6.
Dhamaal 4’s Day 7 and Day 8 numbers
The collections slowed further on Day 7, coming in at Rs. 6 crore net, marking an 11.1% decline from the previous day. This pushed the total India net to Rs. 96.00 crore and total India gross to Rs. 114.49 crore. On the overseas front, the film grossed Rs. 1.00 crore on Day 7, taking the overseas gross to Rs. 18.25 crore and the worldwide gross to Rs. 132.74 crore by the end of Week 1. The film maintained a steady pace on Day 8 as well, earning Rs. 5.35 crore net of 8,154 shows across the country, a modest 10.8% decline from Rs. 6.00 crore was collected last day.

According to Sacnilk, ‘Dhamaal 4’ saw a decline on Day 9, collecting a net of Rs. 2.49 crore in 4,441 shows across the country, taking the total nett in India to Rs. 103.99 crore (with gross earnings of Rs. 123.97 crore).
