Will Barry Keoghan reappear as Joker in ‘Batman 2’ or not?
Keoghan last appeared in the 2022 ‘Batman’ film in a small cameo, as the first film was about Batman fighting the Riddler to save Gotham City. Now, according to a new report shared by Box Office Pro France, the actor will soon reprise his role in the film. In what capacity he will appear is something that has not been revealed so far.The report shared that the production house, which is behind the development of ‘Batman’ and ‘Batman 2’, confirmed the news in one of their presentations at the Studio Show, where production houses come to share their upcoming projects. For the next film, reports suggest that the main villain of the film will fall to the famous Victor Zsasz and will also appear in the secret society of the Court of Owls, together with Harvey Dent.Keoghan appears briefly at the end of the 2022 film after The Riddler is placed in Arkham prison. The scene shows him in prison, making a new friend, who turns out to be Keoghan’s Joker. There are predictions that the Joker will be the main focus of a possible third film in the franchise.

The actor, while talking about the 2024 opportunity, shared that he would like to reprise the role if the opportunity arises. While appearing on the podcast ‘Happy Sad Confused’, the Irish star shared that, “It’s a big one, but I would say that, if the opportunity comes, yes, I want to explore, and given the opportunity, really dive into it, but I haven’t been contacted, I haven’t heard anything.“Matt Reeves, who directed the first film, and also helmed the second, spoke to Digital Spy in an old interview about how much he liked Keoghan’s take on the Joker. He shared at the time that, “Barry is an amazing actor. He is, very special. One of the things we always talk about is the idea that his worldview is shaped by his evil from birth. It’s like a cruel joke that life plays on him, as well.“
