Priyanka Chopra Jonas added another honor to his growing list of international award recognitions. After ensuring a: Amy: nomination for ‘Heads of State’, the star is now nominated for Best Actress in an Action Movie at the 6th Annual Critics Choice Super Awards.Priyanka received the nomination for her performance as Ercell Bodden in the action thriller ‘The Bluff’. She will compete against a strong field that includes Pamela Anderson (‘The Naked Gun’), Eiza Gonzalez (‘Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice’), Akari Takaishi (‘Ghost Killer’), Charlize Theron (‘Apex’), Samara Weaving (‘Over Your Dead Body’) and Maddie Ziegler (‘Pretty Lethal’).The nominations were announced by the Critics Choice Association (CCA), where James Gunn’s ‘Superman’ emerged as the most nominated film this year. The superhero film received six nominations, including Best Superhero Movie, while stars David Corenswet, Edi Gathegi and Nicholas Hoult earned nominations in the Best Actor category. Eight titles followed closely behind with four nominations each. Films including ‘Masters of the Universe’, ‘Obsession’, ‘Project Hail Mary’, ‘The Fantastic Four. First Step’ and ‘Armas’ each got four nominations.On the television front, ‘The Boys’ led the pack with five nominations, including Best Superhero Series and a Best Actor nod for Antony Starr. Meanwhile, series like ‘Fallout’, ‘House of the Dragon’ and ‘Paradise’ also received four nominations each.The Critics Choice Super Awards celebrate achievements across fan-favorite genres of film and television, including superhero, science fiction, fantasy, horror and action. Unlike the Critics Choice Awards, the Super Awards do not have a live ceremony. The winners of this year’s edition will be announced on August 6.The full list of nominees is listed below.
