New Delhi: The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has opened a new application window for candidates applying for DASS Class II recruitment in 2009 under postal code 90/09. The move comes in the wake of the Supreme Court order dated February 27, 2026, which allowed eligible candidates another opportunity to participate in the ongoing recruitment process for 606 vacancies of Grade II (GNCTDSS) or Assistant Section Officer (ASO) posts under postal code 804/26.According to the announcement issued on July 8, 2026, eligible candidates can resubmit their applications between July 17, 2026 and August 17, 2026. Applications must be submitted through a special link on the DSSSB online portal.Eligible candidates in 2009 must reapplyRecruitment opportunities are limited to candidates who originally applied in 2009 based on postcode 90/09. The DSSSB has clarified that eligible applicants must submit a new application to be considered for the current recruitment process.The online application window opens at 12 noon on July 17, 2026 and closes at 5:00 pm on August 17, 2026. Candidates who do not apply within the stipulated deadline will no longer be given the opportunity to participate in the recruitment process.Recruitment details and qualificationsRecruitment is underway for 606 vacancies of Grade II (GNCTDSS) or Assistant Section Officer. The exam time will be notified later.Candidates must upload proof of application made in 2009 while submitting the online form. Accepted documents include a copy of the original application form, original confirmation postcard, Level 1 Admit Card or Level 2 Admit Card issued for postal code 90/09.The DSSSB also said that eligibility will cease if a candidate reaches the age of 60 years (the pensionable age in government service) before appointment.Candidates do not need to pay an application feeThe Board has not established any application fee for qualified candidates who apply under this special recruitment process.Applicants who are not already registered on the Online Application Registration System (OARS) must do so before accessing the special application link for postal code 804/26. Candidates are required to fill the application form, upload the prescribed supporting documents, verify all the information and submit the form before the deadline.Provide offline applicationsDSSSB has also provided an offline application option for candidates who are unable to complete the online process.Such applicants can submit the prescribed Annexure-I application form along with the required supporting documents at the DSSSB Help Desk during the working hours from July 17, 2026 to August 17, 2026. The temporary offline application format has been included in the official notification.Candidates are advised to retain copies of submitted applications and confirmation pages for future reference. Recruitment is being carried out as per the directions issued by the Supreme Court and the schedule notified by DSSSB.
