Delhi University has announced the tentative timetable and venues for the extra-curricular activities (ECA) quota trial for undergraduate admissions, with physical assessment to begin on July 16. The news comes as the university continues its undergraduate admissions process through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS).Candidates seeking admission under ECA quota are advised to check the university website regularly for updates as no separate email or SMS notification will be sent regarding their trial schedule.
The individual trial quota will be released after applying for the correction window
The university said the category-wise trial dates and venues have been announced, while a detailed schedule showing the exact dates and times allotted to each candidate will be released after the application correction window closes.Students are asked to download and verify their probation schedule once it is released on the DU official website. The university clarified that no personal information regarding the allocation of seats will be sent to candidates.
It is recommended that out-of-town candidates plan their travels in advance
Delhi University has issued special advice to candidates coming from outside the national capital. These students do not need to wait for a separate trial schedule but are required to book travel tickets for any date within the notified trial period falling under the respective ECA category.The school also recommends that candidates arrange accommodation near the designated testing location. Those whose assigned trial dates conflict with confirmed travel itineraries may request a change by writing to the University. We will consider such requests based on availability during the notified trial period.
Classification test schedule and location
The physical fitness test for multiple ECA categories will begin on different dates in the designated colleges.
- July 16: Dance, debate, vocal music and drama
- July 17: Yoga
- July 20: Quiz and Art
- July 21: Creative writing, instrumental music, digital media and theology
The university allocates separate nodal colleges for each category. The dance auditions will be held at Bharati College and the debate candidates will be held at Ramjas College. Drama auditions will be held at Miranda House and vocal assessments will be held at Matasandri Girls’ College.Instrumental music candidates will report at Sri Aurobindo College (day), Creative Writing test will be conducted at Hansraj College, Digital Media test will be conducted at Maharaja Agrasen College, Fine Arts will be conducted at Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, Theology will be conducted at Rajdhani College, Quizzes will be conducted at Zakir Hussain Delhi College (Evening) and Yoga will be conducted at PGDAV (Evening) College.Most trials are expected to last around a week (except Sunday), while the yoga trial will be completed over two days.
NCC and NSS applicants are not required to undergo physical fitness test
The university has clarified that candidates applying under the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and National Service Scheme (NSS) categories will not be required to appear for medical examination.Instead, their evaluation will take place through a prescribed admissions process.
ECA marking and appeal window
According to the university, the scores obtained by candidates during the ECA assessment process are expected to be uploaded to the admissions portal around July 25 or July 26.After scores are released, candidates will have an appeal period of two to three days to raise any concerns related to the assessment.
The academic session will begin on July 28
