After an online debate about the incident, the singer finally took the stage to perform his setlist and face the delay.

Jay Z said that the concert was delayed due to crowd safety

When the rapper took the stage, he apologized for the delay and explained what happened. He shared, “Let me explain the delay to you. There were like 10,000 people outside, and we closed all the doors, and someone was rushing through the door. There were 10,000 people outside; I don’t want to start music and people get trampled. I’m really sorry for the inconvenience, but I have to make sure everything is OK. I appreciate your patience.”The show started just after 12 am ET, about three hours later than originally scheduled, and ended at about 2:45 am ET.
