Akhil AkkineniThe latest release ‘Lenin’ opened its theatrical run with a good start at the box office. The action drama hit the theaters on Friday and has registered a decent opening in India as well as overseas markets. The film has: Bhagyashree Borse as the female lead.
Day 1 collections: cross Rs 9 crore worldwide
According to Sacnilk, Lenin collected an estimated Rs 5.90 crore nett in India on its opening day. The film achieved the figure from 2,028 screens across the country.The gross collection in India reached Rs 6.73 crore. The total net in India now stands at Rs 5.90 crore.The film earned Rs 3 crore in gross collections overseas. It pushed the worldwide gross collection to Rs 9.73 crore on its opening day.
Telugu states contributed the largest share
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana emerged as the biggest markets for Lenin. Together, the two states contributed Rs 6 crore to the film’s Day 1 India gross collection.Karnataka followed with a gross collection of Rs 65 lakhs. Tamil Nadu added Rs 3 lakhs while the rest of the regions across India contributed Rs 5 lakhs.
