New Delhi: US President Donald Trump became one of the main topics of discussion after Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 to win the final of the FIFA World Cup 2026 at the New York Stadium on Sunday.Trump stood alongside Spain’s players as they received the World Cup trophy and remained on stage during the celebrations. Trump only stepped aside after FIFA president Gianni Infantino fired him, allowing captain Rodri to carry the trophy with his teammates. It immediately went viral on social media.The US President also presented the FIFA World Cup trophy to the Spanish players after the final at the New York New Jersey Stadium.

Boos echoed around the stadium as Trump and Infantino entered the arena for post-game demonstrations. Trump, who arrived at the stadium by helicopter, thanked the players and shook hands as he walked across the stage before standing with the Spanish team during the trophy presentation.
