The makers ofRamayana:‘ opened an early preview of the film’s trailer to a select audience, ahead of its global premiere on July 24. ‘Ramayana’ release date revealed?

Posting the trailer review, @idlebrainjeevi wrote, “Watched the #Ramayana trailer in 3D at Bharat Mandapam, Delhi, a couple of days ago. The trailer will be released to the public on 24 July. The casting is spot on, and the color palette and overall visual identity feels authentically Indian. It looks artificial and has too many Western-style elements to a minimum.” Ranbir Kapoor perfect like Lord Rama, while: Yash: wonderful like Ravana. Sai Pallavi has given a beautiful and convincing portrayal of Sita. The visuals, music, and VFX are truly world class. It is not yet clear if the date mentioned is the official release date of the film, which is scheduled to hit theaters worldwide on the Diwali festival. This is also the first indication that the makers are going ahead with a November release, instead of an ‘October end release’ as Yash had hinted at earlier this year, while promoting the film at Cinema Con.The announcement sets up a high-profile battle at the box office against Takashi Yamazaki’s ‘Godzilla. Minus Zero’, which is scheduled to open worldwide on November 6, 2026, just two days before ‘Ramayana’.

‘Ramayana’ to clash with ‘Godzilla’. Minus Zero’

If the post about the November release is true, then it puts ‘Ramayana’ alongside another major global event film – ‘Godzilla. Minus Zero’. Directed by Academy Award winner Takashi Yamazaki, the film is set to debut worldwide in theaters and IMAX on November 6, 2026. The sequel follows the critically acclaimed ‘Godzilla Minus One’ and marks the first Japanese Godzilla film shot entirely for IMAX.The film has also been confirmed for a North American theatrical release on November 6, ensuring that it will open in major international markets just ahead of ‘Ramayana’. While the two films belong to different genres, their release dates will see them competing for premium screens, including IMAX and other large-format auditoriums, in several territories. The two films are among the most anticipated releases of 2026. While ‘Ramayana’ is the first of the two-part epic, ‘Godzilla’ is said to be the last film in the franchise. The film’s release also followed the worldwide success of its predecessor, becoming the highest-grossing Japanese live-action film in North America and winning the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.
