Ranbir Kapoor, who essayed the role of Lord Rama, opted for bandhgala paired with black sunglasses and an Indian flag lapel pin.Yash, who plays the villain Ravana, wore a black suit with a crisp black button-up shirt, showing off his gold chain and a gold trishul as his lapel pin.Director Nitesh and producer Namit also joined the lead stars for a photo call at the event.The actors were all smiles as they greeted members of the international press ahead of what is being touted as one of the biggest showcases for an Indian film at Comic-Con.
‘Ramayana’ heads to the Ballroom 20:00
The presentation of ‘Ramayana’ is scheduled to take place in the 4,800-seat Ballroom 20, with a one-hour panel moderated by entertainment journalist Coy Jandreau.Director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra are also expected to join Ranbir and Yash on stage to discuss the ambitious adaptation, its vision and the process of bringing the Indian epic to the global screen.According to reports, attendees will be treated to the film’s official trailer, along with exclusive never-before-seen footage during the presentation.The panel is scheduled to take place between 3:15 AM and 4:15 AM IST on July 24, when the trailer is expected to premiere for audiences attending Comic-Con in San Diego.
‘Ramayana’ receives a special mention
In another impressive list for the production, ‘Ramayana’ received a dedicated mention in the “Indian Highlight” program at Comic-Con 2026. The official timetable describes the event as, “A global showcase of India’s epic saga. Ballroom 20, July 23, 2026, 3:30 PM. Team Appearances, exclusive footage and Q&A.”The film shares the Comic-Con schedule with major international franchises including ‘Avengers. Doomsday’, ‘The Lord of the Rings. ‘Ramayana’ trailer released in India
While the Comic-Con debut is expected to take place in the early hours of Friday (IST), a screenshot circulating online from the official handle of PVR Pictures suggests that the trailer will receive a 10 AM IST release on digital platforms and participating theaters on July 24.
