During his interview for Asian Paints’ ‘Where The Heart Is’ season 5 series, Suniel Shetty, along with his wife, businesswoman Mana Shetty, revealed about his intentions for his Khandala house, which they lovingly named ‘Jahaan’.During the interview, he gave a grand tour of the entire house, revealing that it was built in 16 years and naturally incorporates elements of nature. Mana Shetty, who also joined her husband during the interview, further shared her thoughts on why their house is so special and added, “This house of ours that we built, I think, 17 years ago was a true labor of love because we really put everything we could into it. None of us knew that we would build such a wonderful home for children and families.”Shetty also revealed that the opportunity came to them after he, along with some family friends, decided to travel to Khandala to celebrate Holi with their children. He recalls the distant memory of walking the same roads they now call home when they were bare of wild trees, with his son Ahan Shetty. He shared that when his son took his hand and told him, “You know Dad, isn’t this a beautiful place?”, that’s when he knew this place had the potential to be their home. In addition, he also explained how his and his wife’s childhood inspired them to build a house in this space, because it provides a lot of greenery and natural light. Suniel Shetty was born on August 11, 1961, in Mulki, a town near Mangalore in Karnataka, India. While he started from humble beginnings, after his father moved to Mumbai for better opportunities, his passion for acting and a better life began to grow. As his father became a self-made businessman and hotelier, opening his chains of restaurants across the country, Shetty also grew and succeeded in his life. From helping her father in his restaurants to opening her own fashion boutique and entering the modeling industry, Shetty found her way into acting in the late 1980s.After starring in TV shows and commercials, Shetty landed his first role as an actor in ‘Balwaan’, and the rest is history.
