The promotional video comes just days after FIFA confirmed that the ‘Top Gun’ star will make a special appearance during the closing ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The star-studded event will take place ahead of the World Cup final at the New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday, July 19. Cruise will join an impressive lineup of global stars during the pre-match festivities, including Italian singer-songwriter Laura Pausini, Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls, British singer Robbie Williams and YouTube personality IShowSpeed. Actress and singer Jennifer Hudson is also scheduled to perform a special rendition of the United States national anthem before kickoff.The closing ceremony is scheduled to start 90 minutes before the final, at 1:30 pm local time.
