National testing agency (State Administration of Taxation) is expected to release the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2026 provisional answer key soon on its official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in.Once released, candidates appearing for the exam will be able to download the provisional answer keys by logging in using their application number and date of birth or password. In addition to the answers, the examination agency will also publish the candidates’ answer records, personal answer sheets, test papers, topic answers and answer challenge windows.The UGC NET June 2026 exam will be conducted from June 22 to June 30 with a total of 87 subjects.Candidates who find any discrepancy in the provisional answers can raise a challenge by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs. 200 per question. Objections raised by candidates will be reviewed by subject experts. If the challenge is found to be valid, the answer will be revised and the changes will be reflected in the final answer.After review of all valid objections, a final answer will be formulated. The results will be announced based on this final answer.UGC NET is held twice a year in June and December to determine the eligibility of candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes.
