Kia India has launched the Syros EV with prices starting at Rs 13.49 lakh, ex-showroom. The Syros EV will go on sale at Kia dealerships in India from July 30.The Syros EV is available with two battery options. The entry-level 42 kWh version is priced from Rs 13.49 lakh, while the larger 51.4 kWh Extended Range variant starts at Rs 16.99 lakh, both ex-showroom. The lineup is split into seven variants, with the top-spec X-Line ER priced at Rs 19.99 lakh.It can be purchased with a 42 kWh battery that offers an ARAI-certified range of 443 km and a larger 51.4 kWh battery that provides a claimed range of 526 km. Power comes from a front-mounted electric motor that produces 171 PS, while the larger battery variant can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds. Kia also claims a DC fast charge time of 39 minutes for a 10-80 percent charge using a 100 kW charger. The SUV also has a 10.8 kW on-board AC charger, battery conditioning and EV-specific features such as regenerative braking with i-Pedal mode, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and a Battery Heating System. A major highlight of the Syros EV is its ownership package. Kia offers a Lifetime High Voltage Battery Warranty that covers 15 years with unlimited miles, along with an assured purchase program that promises up to 80 percent of the resale value after three years on introductory terms. The company has also introduced a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program, which allows customers to purchase the vehicle from Rs 7.99 lakh with battery payments starting at Rs 3.3 per kilometer. In addition, the My Convenience e-Plus package combines maintenance, extended warranty and roadside assistance.Inside, the Syros EV gets a 30-inch Trinity Panoramic Display that combines a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 5-inch climate control display. Other highlights include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Kia Connect 2.0 with over 95 connected features, OTA updates, an eight-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, ventilated front and rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 4-way driver’s seat, ambient lighting, a smart dashcam and a 16-litre front trunk. On the safety front, it comes equipped with Level 2 ADAS with 16 autonomous functions, along with six airbags, ESC, hill start assist, a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor and a total of 25 standard safety features.
