Arshad Warsi and wife Maria Goretti restored a 150-year-old Portuguese-style bungalow in Saligao, North Goa, transforming it into Casa Zen, a five-bedroom heritage property with vibrant interiors, a swimming pool, solar panels and lush gardens. The house is now available for tourists to rent for Rs 75,000 per night, plus taxes, as stated by Moneycontrol.Arshad Warsi gave fans and followers a glimpse of his labor of love – a beautifully restored 150-year-old Portuguese bungalow in Goa, now named Casa Zen. The actor, along with his wife Maria Goretti, took the time to revive the heritage property, and the end result is a unique blend of old-world charm and bold, modern design.Arshad recently took to Instagram to walk followers through the transformation, sharing images of everyone who helped bring Casa Zen to life, the carpenter, the potter, and the team behind the cleaning and polishing work. Among the images is one of a potter making 40 pots of different sizes and colors for the house, and a video of Maria Goretti herself painting a heart-shaped design carved into wood.The bio on the property’s official page describes Casa Zen simply. a 150-year-old Portuguese house lovingly restored, where walking inside feels like a warm hug.

Located in Saligao, North Goa, Casa Zen comprises five bedrooms and blends original Portuguese-era architecture with crisp, contemporary interiors. The entrance is done with textured indigo walls, while one of the bedrooms takes a more subdued approach with a white-and-cream palette, balanced by warm lighting and wooden accents.Outside, the bungalow keeps things mostly white, with pops of indigo and yellow breaking up the façade. In a nod to sustainability, Arshad also fitted the roof with solar panels – a practical addition to the heritage structure. The property also has a large swimming pool, a landscaped garden and a mango orchard, rounding out its appeal as a quiet, green retreat away from the city.While Casa Zen is a personal holiday home for the Warsi family, it doubles as a rental property for tourists. According to Wildflower Villas, which handles the bookings, the entire five-bedroom bungalow can be rented for Rs 75,000 per night, excluding taxes. Guests get access to the pool, garden and indoor amenities, making it one of the most unique stay options in the quieter pockets of North Goa.
